A Complete Microwave
Training Kit
 Model MT-1 training kit has been designed
for Military, College, Industrial, and Vocational School training
courses in Microwave theory and applications.
The MT-1 consists of a complete microwave
system capable of transmitting and receiving microwave signals
in X band. It is composed of three electronic components, a training
manual, and various other microwave components and accessories.
It needs no additional meters, instruments or components in order
to demonstrate microwave phenomenon. It operates from a 110 volt
60 cycle source.
The manual is written in easy-to-understand
terminology. The mathematics is held to a minimum and only a
background in algebra is necessary to read and perform the experiments.
No previous background in microwave theory is required. Each
chapter has an introduction to explain the phenomena that is
to be investigated, and there is a section of questions at the
end of each chapter to delve more deeply into the results.
With the MT-1 training unit, one can measure
attenuation, phase, VSWR, and by using the self contained turntable,
one can also measure antenna patterns and demonstrate wave propagation
effects. The function and performance of each of the waveguide
components in the system can also be evaluated.
The MT-1 is highly recommended wherever it
is necessary to train, or to speed up the existing training of
people requiring a working knowledge of microwaves.
